From thinning in Bosses forest to Octopost® – the transformation of a tree

Landowner Bosse and Forest Inspector Tove.

Meet Tove, Forest Inspector at Rundvirke Skog®, as she walks through a forest with local landowner Bosse, in Jämtland, Sweden.

In the heart of Sweden lies a piece of land, a pine forest owned by Bosse Edh, who has tended this land for nearly 50 years. Recently, he welcomed Tove, a Forest Inspector from Rundvirke Skog®, for a woodland walk. They reflect about his forest, how careful management creates value and they prepare for a first thinning, a key step in Swedish forestry.

“I have taken care of this forest, I have cut down trees myself, prepared the ground, planted new trees and trimmed. Now it’s rewarding to see that work to bear fruit, in a first thinning.”
